The Las Vegas strip is one of the most famous and more expensive streets in the world. If you come to Las Vegas for the first time, before doing all the food and gambling and partying, you must take a walking tour of the most iconic places on the Strip. There are many ways to walk the strip for the first time, but after visiting Vegas many times I have created my own beautiful walking tour of the strip. So, come along with me for a walking tour of the Las Vegas strip for first-timers.
Stretching for just under 5 miles, the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada is one of the most famous streets in the world. It is a strip of the Las Vegas Boulevard, from Tropicana Avenue going north to Sahara Avenue. In addition to being famous, the Strip in Las Vegas is probably one of the most expensive streets in the world. Come along on my favorite walk on the Las Vegas Strip for first-timers.

Las Vegas Walking Tour Map
The MGM Pedestrian Bridge
As a starting point let’s begin at the MGM pedestrian bridge that sits on the Southernmost bridge on the Las Vegas Strip. From here you can go East or West when walking on the Strip. The West will take you to Park MGM to the Park. East will take you to MGM Grand side that will begin the Showcase Mall area of shops and easy access to fast foods and other attractions. The choice is ultimately yours in which direction you would like to go.
The Park at New York New York and MGM
You chose to walk to the West side of the Strip which will lead you to (New York New York) hotel-casino. There are plenty of sights to see here as you continue around the property to The Park with a waterfall display and plenty of pre-game activities to see and do in the area. This path also leads to the T-Mobile arena where the Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey team plays.
The City Center Las Vegas
The City Center is where you’ll find The Crystals Shops and Aria hotel-casino. This property is mega huge and will take some time to walk thru. The Aria casino floor is a great place to take a break and look around at its offerings. From here you can walk to the Crystal Shops that sits adjacent to the City Center Property. The Crystal Shops has some of the most well-known designers of fashion in one place. Take your time when walking around this spot its amazing to see all the latest high-end fashion that changes every season.
The Bellagio Fountains and Floral Conservatory
Congratulations! you made it to Bellagio Hotel Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Take a moment to see the fountains go off to music day or night. After the presentation, walk inside to the floral conservatory for a huge seasonal display of flowers, water fountains and lots of photo opportunities at the Bellagio.
The Mirage Volcano
If you’re walking just before sunset to the Mirage Hotel Casino you’ll most likely see the volcano that sits just in front of the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip. This attraction is won’t be here long. As Hard Rock International has bought the property and plant to demolish the Volcano for its glass-shaped guitar hotel-casino in 2024. However, seeing this attraction is before it’s gone makes it worthy of a video on your walking tour of the Las Vegas Strip.
Caesars Forum Shops
Another mall, yes! Caesars Forum Shops can be accessed inside of Caesars Hotel-Casino or just off the strip as you make your way thru. The Forum Shops at Caesars is a wonderful place to stop off at and check out the attractions that are fantastic to see. Be sure to walk around and take in the sights at Caesars Forum Shops.
The Linq Promenade
The Linq Promenade is a great addition to walking the Las Vegas Strip. It’s just across from Caesars Palace and will take you to the High Roller. From here you can visit the many shops and restaurants that line the promenade. From Gordon Ramsey’s Fish and Chips to The Sugar Factory has some of the most interesting drinks and candy around. Even if you’re hungry for a quick bite to eat, there is an In and Out Burger to enjoy a refresh as you make your way to the next spot on the Las Vegas Strip.
Venetian Palazzo Grand Canal Shops
The Grand Canal Shops at Venetian and Palazzo are a great spot to check out. You must be working up an appetite walking the Las Vegas Strip. Venetian and Palazzo have some of the best restaurants on the strip. You’ll find the Grand Lux diner that is open 24 hours at Venetian and Palazzo. This is a great spot to relax and grab a bite to eat if you’re making your way back to where you began on the journey.
