Let’s start with downtown Fremont Street East
Where the neon signs are being taken out and relocated. The center of the street is being updated for more trees in the area for shade and other beautification coming to the East side of Fremont Street. Plus, a majority of the old motels that line the east side of Fremont Street are getting a makeover and converted into apartments and trendy places for newbies to live. I’ll have photos as things progress here in this area.
The Fremont Street Viva Vision Digital Canopy
is getting a 4k upgrade and will run 24/7 with new graphics and musical presentations. This is the world’s largest digital display that spans most of Fremont Street and can be a great way to get your staycation started off right. The World Premiere will be on NYE 2020 with guest DJ Steve Aoki. This will be a crowd-pleaser for sure.

Vortex at the Linq to become ESPN Production Studio
Construction is underway at the Linq Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. For several weeks work crews have been removing Vortex digital display that was located above the casino. They are now constructing an ESPN Production Studio that will overlook the Las Vegas Strip.
All the work is being done overhead and the pedestrian walkways remain open with construction scaffolding in place. The Linq Hotel & Casino is owned by Caesars Entertainment. ESPN is owned jointly by The Walt Disney Company (80%) and Hearst Communications (20%).
