Local developer J Dapper and his Dapper Cos. firm are betting the structure will extend the recently branded Carson Avenue restaurant row outfitted with new banner signs to designate the area that runs from chef Natalie Young’s Eat on Seventh Street and Carson Avenue to his five dining tenants on Las Vegas Boulevard. Scattered along the street, restaurants such as Carson Kitchen, VegeNation, 7th & Carson, and Donut Bar, among others in the Downtown Container Park, could see a boost in diners with the new branding, part of an overall downtown master plan approved by the Las Vegas City Council in 2016.
The Broken Yolk Cafe takes over the prime corner position, creating a roomy 4,659-square-foot, full-service casual restaurant, plus an additional 1,326 square feet of patio that wraps around the intersection of both blocks.
Recently filed paperwork with the City of Las Vegas shows that the 2,200-square-foot dining area will install booth seating and feature a vintage Pacific Beach design. Downtown Las Vegas just keeps getting better every year.
The California chain very successfully expanded to Town Square in 2019, quickly becoming a local favorite for American diner and classic breakfast dishes. A second location is currently in the works for the southwest.

Tentatively looking at a spring arrival, plans for the Carson Avenue side of the building’s ground floor include Taco Reforma, serving street tacos in a modern, sleek fast-casual setting, a fourth location for the French-inspired Baguette Café from chef Olivier Brouillet, and the Pachinko Pub from Mark Evensvold and FukuBurger’s Colin Fukunaga. Original leasing documents also referenced a yet-to-be-confirmed Churro Bar sitting next to the new taco restaurant.
The 43,913-square-foot building also features an attached 233-space parking garage, leasing office space on the second and third floors, and a 9,146-square foot rooftop restaurant and bar.
