Las Vegas has changed forever devastating end to the strip August 2024. More Hotels and Casinos are making big changes on the Las Vegas Strip. The Tropicana on the South end of the Strip is slated for demolition on October 3rd.
The Mirage has officially closed its doors and is currently under construction as Hard Rock Hotel takes over for a major renovation. The North end of the Strip Fontainebleau is working on an expansion across from Circus Circus.
A newly announced water park and amusement park will be adjacent to Fontainebleau’s expansion project. We have some exciting things coming to Las Vegas and it’s still the hottest tourist destination for sports, entertainment and gaming enthusiasts.
Las Vegas is working on bringing a Major League Baseball team here and an NBA basketball team. The Oakland A’s are still working on funding to start submitting construction plans to the city of Las Vegas but has been lackluster because the A’s organization has not secured its side of the funding costs of building the proposed 2 Billion dollar stadium.
Many Las Vegas locals are calling foul ball due to the fact the A’s and its owners have attempted to swindle the public funds for building a majority of the stadium on the backs of the local taxpayers. The Oakland A’s are looking for private funds at the current moment. They are currently playing their season in Sacramento California until 2027. We can only hope they love it and stay there.
Las Vegas has been in the public eye for quite some time with its new developments and renovations that seem to be becoming an annual thing here as of late. Some projects are complete and some are still to be determined.
The Brightline West high-speed rail system was announced in April 2024. When construction begins, the project will have a high-speed rail from Victorville to Las Vegas. No announcements on when this project will begin. However, many Las Vegas locals have expressed uncertainty about whether the project will get started at all. Brightline West is hopeful that the high-speed rail will be complete for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. We can only hope for the sake of the traffic jams that occur on the I-15 to Los Angeles.
Keeping up with the changes in Las Vegas is like tending to your lawn that you don’t have. It’s here today and gone tomorrow. The city of Las Vegas tends to police water usage on commercial and residential properties determines that you may be using up too much of the available water source and needs to be destroyed and replaced with beautiful landscaping rocks.
This means the intense summer temperatures can heat the Las Vegas Valley even more. That way our crooked politicians can propose excessive heat as a natural disaster to tax its citizens for a useless bill that won’t help in battling Mother Nature in a harsh desert environment.
