Vaccination and mask mandates heat up with school board and parents as Las Vegas rally for Freedom of Choice on the Strip. Parents, teachers, students, and patriots lined the streets of the Las Vegas Strip in a peaceful rally for Freedom of Choice.
The organization was founded by a parent that has had enough of the mandates and is speaking out against forced vaccinations, masks, and civil liberties.
Protestors gathered on the Las Vegas Strip Tuesday afternoon. They called it the “Freedom of Choice Protest.”

“It’s about choice and you shouldn’t be shamed for being unvaccinated. I want people to be able to have a choice. I don’t want people to do something against their will. That’s not what we’re about. That’s not American,” said Julie Monroe.
Protestors say they came out for a variety of reasons — the vaccine, mask mandates, and the Clark County School District enforcing a vaccine mandate for employees.
“These teachers should not be forced to get this vaccination. Nobody should be forced to get it,” said Corey Brewer.
Jennifer Harris is part of a group advocating what she calls medical freedom for district employees.
She said, “I know a lot of teachers are really frustrated, ready to walk out and resign.”
Some threatened to walkout Tuesday to protest the mandate.
According to the Clark County School District, less than 5% of CCSD’s workforce is called out.
CCSD released a statement saying, in part, “There are several factors as to why an employee may be utilizing sick leave such as feeling ill, planned doctors appointments, maternity leave or other planned leave.”
But, CCSD employees like Jennifer Harris, are skeptical of the numbers.
As for the vaccine mandate, the board voted 5 to 1 in favor, saying they trust the science.
It’s almost out of a page of science fiction come to fruition.
Data from the Centers for Disease Control found 97% of those who have been hospitalized with COVID are unvaccinated, acknowledging, however, there have been breakthrough cases.
At one point during the protest, protestors headed inside the Bellagio to use the skywalk to cross over the Las Vegas Blvd. and continue the rally on the other side of the strip walking to Planet Hollywood.
We reached out to Bellagio’s parent company, MGM Resorts International, regarding the situation, and have not received any details.
The next Freedom of Choice Rally will be at Allegiant Stadium Monday, September 13th, 2 pm – 5 pm for the Raider’s first home opener.
