How are Things Coming Along in Las Vegas?
Las Vegas is going through a lot of changes lately and this update will give you an idea of some of the major projects coming to Las Vegas. It’s mid-June and it’s about time we gave you a look a what is going on with some of the builds that are happening in and around Las Vegas. With an NFL team getting ready to come over from Oakland we have a first-hand look at how things are going in Sin City.
Downtown Las Vegas
The Downtown area is getting some much needed TLC. This is otherwise known as the Original Las Vegas or the City of Las Vegas. Fremont Street is the main artery that runs from Main Street and intersects Boulder Highway. Along that way, you’ll see Circa Hotel Casino being built on Main Street and Fremont Street right across from the Plaza and next to Golden Gate Hotel Casino. This will be the first new hotel to be built in Las Vegas in over 40 years. Look forward to Circa to be finished in late 2020. Another towner addition to The Grand downtown will have over 349 rooms that will add more amenities for your stay downtown Las Vegas. Look forward to this new addition in late 2020.
Viva Vision Canopy
This is the worlds largest digital display that spans most of Fremont Street is getting a much needed 4k upgrade for your viewing pleasure. New musical acts are also getting introduced to Viva Vision with such acts like DJ Steve Aoki who is one of many resident Dj’s at Hakkasan night club at MGM Grand. Plus, many others to follow. The New unveiling of Viva Vision will be NYE 2020.
New Bars and Entertainment
You’ll have an unforgettable time on Fremont Street at the new Cats Meow Karaoke Bar that is just above Neonopolis. This adds new things to do besides gambling when you visit Fremont Street-Downtown Las Vegas. Just across from that will be a County Bar that is just one level up from Hennesy’s Tavern. This is very early in the construction process and I’ll keep you posted on the progress of this soon to open country bar. Bars and restaurant come and go just about anywhere in Las Vegas. With outrageous themes or gimmickry the keep it simple model doesn’t fly here as new concepts keep popping up and giving it a go in Sin City.
The Strip
If you anywhere the North End of Las Vegas you’re going to notice larch cranes that are in motion to finish 4.5 Billion dollar Resorts World. This property is Malaysian owned by Genting Group. It’s said to be finished by the end of 2021.
And just across the street is the Drew (formerly Fontainebleau) is set to complete its construction by mid-2021.
Las Vegas Raiders Stadium
The NFL Raiders team will be the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020. The franchise is leaving Oakland to pursue greener pastures in the desert. Not only will the new stadium host NFL games, but UNLV will also be using this as home turf on their game day. Plus, concerts and possibly UFC fights. A modern-day coliseum in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Convention Center Expansion
This expansion will add new exhibitor space and mega-convention that bring the numbers for Las Vegas. CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is the largest electronic exhibit in the world bringing new innovation and next-gen technology. The new expansion will be state of the art and with plenty of technology embedded into the building.
