Main Street Station, one of the last few casinos in the Las Vegas area to remain closed since March last year, will reopen next month.
Boyd Gaming announced the downtown Las Vegas casino will reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8. It will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“We are thrilled to announce the reopening of Main Street Station, and to welcome back our team members and guests who have been eagerly awaiting our return,” Steve Thompson, Boyd’s executive vice president of operations, said in a press release.
Once open, Main Street’s restaurant Triple 7 will operate Thursday through Monday, 5 p.m. to midnight. The buffet Garden Court will be open daily for brunch from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for dinner Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Main Street has been dark since the COVID-prompted gaming shut down in March last year. Although casino operators were cleared to reopen in June, Boyd Gaming opted to leave Main Street and Eastside Cannery closed.
“Main Street’s future is all about downtown business and the Hawaiian business returning,” Boyd President and CEO Keith Smith said on an investor conference call.
Along with Eastside Cannery, four Station Casino properties remain closed in the Las Vegas area: Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station and Palms.
Station’s parent company Red Rock Resorts agreed to sell the Palms to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians back in April. That deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
It remains unknown when the other properties owned by Boyd Gaming will be announced for reopening.
