Music superstar Adele is reportedly close to moving her much-anticipated Las Vegas residency to a new location.
TMZ says the singer and her team are in serious talks to take her show to Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood, citing “sources with direct knowledge of the singer’s plans.”
Adele was originally scheduled to begin a residency called “Weekends with Adele” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Jan. 21, with shows lasting through April 16.
However, she announced the day before the first show that it would be postponed, blaming delivery delays and COVID-19.
Both Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood are Caesars Entertainment properties.
TMZ reports Adele would have full creative control over a show at Planet Hollywood, plus a percentage of ticket sales. Zappos Theater has a capacity of 7,000, compared to The Colosseum’s 4,100.
The plan is to start the shows in the late summer and run through the end of 2022, according to the outlet.
Adele promised her Las Vegas shows would happen this year during an appearance on the Graham Norton Show on BBC in February.
