Las Vegas is going to have a new set of challenges that are going to test its commitment to preserving its commitment to keeping you safe and feeling like you had a unique experience in the entertainment capital of the world. The Corona Virus has hit Las Vegas hard and with everyone practically out of work, Vegas is looking to reopen with some changes that will most definitely take place in the coming weeks or some believe months for it to fully reopen.
But the key factor when someone is looking to book a 2 to 3 day stay in Las Vegas is can they “Trust” you in returning to and earning their business? Can they trust that you will provide safe conditions that allow them to enjoy a hotel stay and not be infected when they leave? The biggest challenge is opening a few resorts at a time and manage a few hundred people rather than thousands of people that might be infecting different properties as they move around on the strip or Fremont Street.
Like many cities across the nation, there has to be a trust factor in earning the consumer’s business back. If there is no policy or protocol in place to combat the coronavirus when opening up shop, it is not going to work in your favor. I’d rather go to the establishment that has a safer process than one that does not even thou the one that does not has a better product.
Restaurants, bars, and casinos are going to have to have a protocol when opening back up. If not, Vegas will be a catastrophic nightmare for the people that live and work here and most of all the people that visit here.
What does Las Vegas look like when it reopens back up?
It’s going to have limited seating in certain restaurants. Social distancing will be prevalent and practiced. Wait staff will take orders and servers will serve the food. Like most reputable diners in Las Vegas already do.
You’re going to see casino floor staff with masks on and gloves to protect themselves. Cleaning of tables and slot machines will be enforced to keep things clean and sanitary. You will see more self check ins and when you get to your room there may be hand sanitizer and a masks to cover up with when on the floor (optional of course). Valet will not be back anytime soon. Cameras monitor temperatures when arriving at a casino. You may even see Covid-19 sniffing dogs on property to detect anyone that might be a carrier and not know it.
This is a new Las Vegas and it’s taking precautions for your trust and safety. Las Vegas can’t afford to make any mistakes when people come back. If things get out of control, Vegas will have to start over again. The second time around will cost them big time and it will shut down again.
